The Kind of Calls I Like to Receive

The nurse called today to give me the results of my lab work (at least the blood work).

She read me the data and then said she rarely gives women my age cholesterol levels that good. She asked my secret and all I could think to say was, "Kumquats." I've been eating them by the fistful for weeks. And it sounded much better than beer and pizza, which had been my last meal prior to fasting for the test.

So, my pulse and blood pressure are that of a 17-year-old.

And my blood is itself in tip-top shape.

Now to get my outsides to match my insides.

LMAO, Kumquats ~ I'll have to try those!

Good job, though, I just had all that stuff done too....

Nice!

Hmmm, perhaps I'll have to plant a kumquat tree...

Haven't had kumquats in the longest time, doesn't seem like they sell those at the grocery stores that often. Good to hear what great shape you're in!

That's awesome! I have to admit, I never fast before those things - that'd mean I'd have to drive toward Cambridge without having coffee (and that's not happening), so they usually say mine is on the higher side. You are so disciplined! I'll have to see if they sell kumquats around here!

congrats on the great numbers. You many have just single handedly started a run on kumquats.
