Just looked up yesterday's race results:
66 ANNE SXXXX 561 46 1/2 F San Diego 57:50 9:19
Note the 1/2 for my age group. It figures...the one time I have to leave early I didn't have to leave emptyhanded. Well, it still makes my day to know that at some time while I was rushing home Peter, the race director, announced my name to everyone. Now I'm really motivated to keep at it.

Hooray! See... You never know how it's going to end up. You rock!
WTG Anne!
I love placing when there is only 1 in my age category. LOL
Great job!
An AG award AND the Hokies win--a good day all around.
Great job! And even if you weren't there to get the award, how cool that you earned it!
so you are saying because you registered at 46 1/2 that put you in your own age group? sorry i'm confused lol, i just woke up from a nap. but yay! on your name being announced!
Way to go, Anne!
Congrads!!
Woot! Woot! Go get 'em, Anne! I can see your name in lights already!
Wow Anne! Way to go! Congrats!
Great run! Sometimes we surprise ourselves. And you weren't that far off the mark.
Now you are in tha Hall of Fame!!!
Congrats on the race.
Never seen a 1/2 in a age group before.
FANTASTIC ...
good job!!
Why do they list ages in half-year increments?
Congrats on an AG award! I won one in my third race (a small one) and thought--This is easy. Uh uh! Another one didn't come my way for six years (another small race). Nice time!
It counts! Congratulations.
I read and read this trying to figure it out. I was reading your age as 46.5, not that you were 1 out of 2 in your AG.
Whew, that was tough! Congrats!
nice, anne! you're going to be so ready for that rematch we have with the balboa 8 miler!
