Just saw in today's newspaper that the Balboa Park trail system has been enhanced with signs to explain the distance and difficulty of various routes.
This is a great resource for both locals and tourists. And the article is so right: There's so much more to the park than the zoo and the museums and maybe now more people will discover that.
Very cool! It reminds me of our local Point Defiance Zoo that is surrounded by great trails and views of puget sound. A lot of locals know all about the great trails though.

I love maps and trail signage.
And even though some use it for their "Tags!" They are an important part of exploring new areas.
