Thank you all for your well wishes for me and your prayers for my friend Joe, whose cancer is inoperable but whose treatment holds some promise. He's been told to get his affairs in order, but he's also been told those final wishes may not need to be carried out for some time to come.
All that positive energy you're exuding is helping purge the nasty germs from my system. As you can tell from my earlier rant, I'm returning to my normal self. Which may or may not be a good thing. And I suddenly know what it feels like to really rest, not just slow down. I highly recommend it, and not just when you're sick.

I hope that everything goes well for your friend.
I have to agree with your earlier post. I mean, if you get in a car accident, is it because you were being negative? Come on. And you are absolutely right about failure - failure is how we learn, how we discover, how we expand our boundaries. I'm always telling the parents I teach to let their children fail. Too many parents try to rescue all the time, then children learn to expect to be rescued, learn that anything less than perfect or being the best is not acceptable. I ask the parents how many of them are the best at everything? How much of what they do reaches perfectionism? Why do we lay that on our children? Okay, little rant there, sorry. I'm not perfect you know!
That's wonderful news!
Glad you're getting better. I'm just getting rid of my flu bug today, I hope.
like anything else take what you want from the secrete (i saw a small bit of it on oprah...realized quickly it was something not new just packaged to look so..) and disgard the rest....i feel the same way about blogland...i appreciate the good, the bad, the ugly...it makes for a much more interesting read.
Glad your feeling better and I hope Joe KEEPS Strong, keeps Fighting and staying as positive as he can!
