How Weird is This?

There’s an online campaign to normalize weirdness, and Bob in Florida’s tagged many individuals to participate. Just look at his zany blog and you’ll see that the cause couldn’t have asked for a better cheerleader :-).

I’ve actually enjoyed reading some other responses, which may not necessarily eradicate weirdness but definitely shows a lot of OCD-like habits in the running community. No surprise there.

Six Weird Things About Me

1. I don’t like chocolate.
2. I’ve never had coffee.
3. I talk to strangers.
4. I recently contacted paranormal investigators to see if our house is haunted. Strangely, I really want there to be a ghost, because otherwise I hear voices.
5. I’m right-handed but left-footed.
6. I’ve saved a bottle of sparkling mineral water in our refrigerator for five years and two moves...and I don’t even like sparkling mineral water.

I've met other people who don't like chocolate, and though I find it unfathomable, I can accept it. I almost wish I didn't like chocolate - I'd probably be a good five or ten pounds lighter. Other than children, I don't think I've ever met anyone who hasn't at least tasted coffee...

As for the ghost - that's just scary!

Okay, it's definitely weird that you've never had coffee! I lived in a haunted house when I was nine. I seemed to be the only one who heard the ghosts. They were men fighting. They often fell down the stairs.

Weird people are interesting. I feel sorry for those chasing normalcy. They're missing out on all the fun:)

On the ghostly voices -- you know you've mentioned your loquacity before. Do you think your "ghost" may be the resounding effect of your own words? Oh man, hate to be the paranormal investigator who has to tell a client that! ;)

A micro-brewery near by and mineral water in the fridge. Sounds like the makings for a good party. We’ll just have to figure out something to serve with that mineral water.

so? you're an artist.

hearing voices and listening to them are different things.

coffee is over-rated, you haven't missed anything.

oh magoo, you've done it again.

Simple and concise and really, truly weird. You seemed normal enough when I met you the other day, little did I know!!

Holy cow Anne, I'm not sure we can associate anymore. You don't like chocolate and you've never had coffee before?

I can understand hearing voices and believing there is a ghost in your house, but no coffee, or chocolate. All right, I'll calm down. You must understand that you gave us no warning and I wasn't ready for this. You're still my friend, even though you are definitely weird.

I don't find you weird at all, even the chocolate thing, okay maybe the chocolate thing...but hey the good news is that when chocolate is passed around, Anne will give you hers. Not a bad deal for us chocolate lovers. Does that mean since I don't find you weird thus I find you as my equal, are we the same?...is that like calling me weird??

I've seen bob gentile's comments, never read his blog before - that was fascinating - especially the alligator. I love your weird things. the whole ghost thing is intriguing - in the big picture in life - who really knows - we live on a small planet in a big universe

Please do a follow up post on the ghost - because I am interested.

I am left footed and right handed too. It makes me a little dyslexic in a kinesthetic way.

I love your "weird" things Anne. I'm with you on the chocolate thing. Not my favorite except Hot Chocolate. Thanks for posting your weirdness! Love it!

You've never had coffee??? There's got to be a story behind that!!!

I thought I was the only one on earth who hadn't tried coffee. Now there's at least two. The chocolate thing I can't get with though. There's probably 2 lbs. of it within arm's reach of me right now.
